Indoors 

The villa combines the architectural purity of one of the great architects of the Ile de Ré with a warm and refined contemporary décor, far from clichéd or ostentatious.
Designed down to the last detail by its owners to comfortably accommodate ten people at any time of year, the house has an H-shaped floor plan, with the ‘living’ wing on the garden side and the ‘bedrooms’ wing linked by a gallery-library.
The house comprises a vast, transversal living room of some 100m2, with a double east-west aspect, overlooking the pool on one side and an interior garden on the other. This exceptional living space is extended to the outside by a summer dining room covered by a terrace / courtyard, complete with an outdoor fireplace for dining in all weathers.
As for the bedrooms, the master suite to the right of the entrance incorporates a study area separated by sliding doors and a vast en suite bathroom. Two further bedrooms, each with its own private shower room, are located on the other side of the entrance. All the bedrooms have a desk, allowing you to work from a distance.

The guest house opens onto the garden and swimming pool through large French windows. Decorated in a spirit close to nature, it comprises two large bedrooms, each with a desk, which share a beautiful shower room and separate WC.
Boasting an extraordinary amount of natural light thanks to the large windows overlooking the gardens and courtyards, and the double east-west aspect, the house is decorated with a taste for beauty, combined with noble materials and the highest quality finishes. It is furnished in a timeless, assertive style, combining contemporary Italian furniture with Scandinavian pieces from the 1950s.

Unusually for a house on the island's south coast, the entrance courtyard also provides parking for two cars.


Outdoors 

The space has been structured to maximise the potential of the garden, which is protected from the elements and faces due south, allowing you to enjoy the sun from the very first days of spring. The main garden is located at the rear of the property and houses a swimming pool (12 x 3.70 m), as well as the guest house. A large courtyard provides a sheltered lunch area, while the outdoor fireplace allows al fresco dining in almost any weather. Three other outdoor areas allow everyone to enjoy a moment of peace and quiet away from the pool. Everywhere you are sheltered from glances and prevailing winds.

Location

Just a few metres from the Brémaudières beach access, in the sought-after Bois-Plage area between Gollandières and Petit Sergent. This access to the beach, reserved for pedestrians and cyclists, is one of the prettiest in Bois Plage. The beach stretches for kilometres on either side, and is exposed to the sun from morning until night.

Just a few minutes by bike from the centre of Bois-Plage, its daily market, reputed to be one of the best on the island, and its shops.

Known for its magnificent south-facing sandy beach and family atmosphere, Le Bois-Plage enjoys a privileged central position on the island: less than 20 minutes by bike from the magnificent port of Saint-Martin, its shops and restaurants, and less than half an hour from La Rochelle airport.
