Throughout the year, it welcomes numerous works such as paintings, sculpture, but also antiques and photography, enough to satisfy all artistic tastes! It is generally the works of 4 different artists that remain on display for 2 weeks before welcoming 4 new artists around a new theme. This may give you the chance to discover several different exhibitions during your stay. Don't forget to take a break in the sun on the terrace bordering the gallery after your visit!
Madeleine Brossard Workshop
Madeleine Brossard is a painter who opens the doors of her studio and art gallery in the village of Portes-en-Ré. You will, therefore, be able to discover her magnificent watercolours whose artist is a professional of this technique, and she will be able to share with you the secrets of their making. Many of his works are inspired by the beauty of nature and will be a wonderful souvenir of your holiday on the island. You will also discover beautiful drawings made by the artist. The workshop is open every day from 3 pm to 7 pm from Easter to All Saints' Day and accessible by appointment the rest of the year.
Lo Breillat Art Gallery
This art gallery in La Couarde-sur-Mer opened its doors in 2017 thanks to the international artist Lo Breillat who represents both landscapes of the Ile de Ré and portraits whose works are also present in art galleries in the United States, Tunisia but also Barcelona. You will discover a welcoming space, both very bright and intimate, where visitors and collectors come to discover Lo Breillat's new works, always present to comment on his works and to learn more about their specificities.
